THE BOONIES INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

The Sportsman’s Film Festival is an annual fundraising event for The Boonies International Film Festival. The Boonies is currently working with and through Gro-Warren.  Gro-Warren is an established 501(c)(3) serving the community of Warren, Pennsylvania.  The Boonies is incorporating and organizing as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation whose mission is to educate, promote and support artists of all ages involved in the independent film industry, as well as to promote Northwestern Pennsylvania’s location and natural resources to the film industry.

The Boonies is operated through an Executive Board with a consulting Advisory Council.  Jeff Clark, as the Executive Director, oversees all day-to-day activities.

Through our mission, The Boonies directly supports and participates in arts education as we host films, music, technology and arts events which shall include concerts, visual art shows, workshops, sabbaticals, mentoring and internships.

By partnering with other communities, The Boonies develops regional events to promote, support, educate and to seek talent in our region.  Regional Search and Screening events in nine area communities will open doors for involvement to all residents who have talent to showcase, those interested in becoming a festival volunteer in some capacity, as well as those residents who simply wish to attend the Festival events.

All of The Boonies activities will culminate in an annual Film Festival which will promote artists of all ages involved in the independent film industry, with the inaugural event occurring August 17-20, 2011.
