Gran Fondo of the Alleghenies
The Gran Fondo of the Alleghenies is intended to promote both the sport of cycling in the Northwestern Pennsylvania region as well as provide participants the opportunity to enjoy the unmatched beauty of the Allegheny National Forest and the hospitality of our communities during the peak of the fall foliage season.
The GFA will include three routes structured in both distance and topographic intensity to offer something for riders of all abilities. Each route starts at the Sheffield Middle/Senior High School. All participants must check-in at the high school between 6:30 and 7:30am on Sunday, October 9. Pre-registration is GREATLY appreciated. Participants registering prior to September 17 are guaranteed an event T-shirt upon finishing the selected route.
Three distances are offered to choose from which are listed below. Please keep in mind that there's a recommended ability to complete each Fondo at an average rate. Please view the distances and average speed level below to help you make your decision.
